Viсtor P. Kolosov (23 March 1953), MD, PhD, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Academician of RAS, has been a Director of Far-Eastern Center of Physiology and Pathology of Respiration since 2005, Chief editor of the journal “Bulletin Physiology and Pathology of Respiration”, the member of editing committees of the international journal “Respiratory Medicine” (Kyrgyzstan), journals “Far-Eastern Medical Journal”, “Pacific Medical Journal” and “Amur Medical Journal”. The field of scientific interests is clinical and ecological pulmonology. His researches are focused on ecological aspects of non-specific diseases prophylaxis, the development of prognostication methods in pulmonology, molecular and genetic mechanisms of airway hyperresponsiveness and mucus hypersecretion. He is the author of 460 scientific works including 19 monographs, 58 patents and certificates of authorship, 12 methodical recommendations, 11 software. Viсtor P. Kolosov is a member of the European Respiratory Society, the American Thoracic Society, the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology, the Russian Respiratory Society. Viсtor P. Kolosov founded Far-Eastern scientific school of pulmonologists which studies clinical modeling and prognostication of respiratory diseases clinical course. 8 doctoral dissertations and 39 candidate dissertations were defended under his supervision. He is Chairman of the Dissertation Council D 999.199.02 at the Far Eastern Scientific Center of Physiology and Pathology of Respiration and the Amur State Medical Academy. He is the head of Pulmonology Department at the Amur State Medical Academy with the clinical base at Far-Eastern Scientific Center of Physiology and Pathology of Respiration.
