Journal of scientific and practical aspects “Bulletin Physiology and Pathology of Respiration” (ISSN 1998-5029) was founded in 1998. The founder of the journal is the Far Eastern Scientific Center of Physiology and Pathology of Respiration (Blagoveshchensk, Russia). The journal was registered in the Publishing Committee of Russian Federation 11 March 1999.
Since the journal foundation in 1998, 66 journal issues have been published. They show the results of scientific researches of a great number of scientists of Siberia and Far East. The journal is a special purpose periodical scientific publication in which the results of major scientific researches in medicine, biology and scientific technologies are regularly published. Prominent Russian and foreign scientists who are the professionals in the mentioned spheres form the editorial board. The journal is organized in accordance with international standards.
The Journal is published in Russian (the summaries are given in English). It reflect the results of scientific researches in the field of clinical and experimental medicine; a special attention is paid to pathogenesis, new methods of diagnostics, prophylaxis and treatment of respiratory and cardiorespiratory system diseases. There are also some sections for practical doctors where review articles are published.
Periodic scientific-practical journal “Bulletin Physiology and Pathology of Respiration” publishes the following: scientific articles (clinical and experimental researches), scientific surveys, lectures and reports; scientific reviews and comments; information materials (presentation of the work of conferences, symposiums, meetings and plenary sessions on the important issues of epidemiology, pathogenesis, diagnostics and treatment of respiratory diseases).
The target audience of the journal: researchers of respiratory medicine, biology, physiology and pathophysiology of the respiratory system; doctors-pulmonologists and practicing doctors of various specialties.
Since the foundation all the materials sent into the editorial office have been reviewed by independent experts of superior qualification.
The Bulletin has been highly evaluated by leading experts of All-Russian Institute of Scientific and Technical Information (ARISTI) of Russian Academy of Sciences and is reviewed in the review journal “Biology” and data bases of ARISTI. The information about the journal is published in the international periodicals directory about periodical and continuous periodicals “Ulrich's Periodicals Directory”, in the databases of scientific publications "Kiberleninka", "Index Copernicus".
The journal is involved in the National project “Russian scientific citation index” conducted by Scientific Electronic Library. The journal has had a personal directory on the server eLIBRARY.RU (integrated scientific information resource in the Russian Internet zone) since 2006.
